Hooghoudt jenevers and liqueurs
The Hooghoudt distillery was established in 1888 in Groningen and still produces jenevers and liqueurs according to their traditional recipes.

By ordering a 'Rondje Hooghoudt', you will be able to taste five of these superb drinks and enjoy a story by our experts about Hooghoudt's history and the way their spirits are made. How about a nice glass of 'Korenwijn', a traditional jenever so smooth that one would mistake it for a fine single malt whisky... Or a sip of Hooghoudt's much-praised "Sterretje Hagel en Donder' (Stars, Hail and Thunder), an aniseed liqueur. The many fruit jenevers are quite famous too, the red berry, raspberry, apple, lemon and blueberry jenevers are made from fresh fruits and lemon and orange peels, layered on alcohol for long periods of time. Café Hooghoudt has a lot of surprising drinks to offer, so drop by for an evening of tasting!
